Executive and ethical rules for publishing articles in the Journal of Logic Research
1- General principles:
1- The journal welcomes the receipt of reputable scientific articles that contain new and non-adapted scientific materials and points (scientific research), but (according to the new policies of the Ministry of Education and Science regarding scientific journals) it provides the possibility for articles that are promotional, compilation, applied, or book reviews, provided that they have scientific value, to be subject to review and publication.
2- Submitted articles must not have been published in other domestic or foreign publications under any circumstances. Also, the right to publish the article, after its acceptance, is reserved for the journal, and the author is not allowed to publish it in other publications.
3- The journal is free to accept, reject, correct, and edit the received articles.
4- Publication of submitted works does not necessarily mean agreement with the authors, and the journal is not responsible in this regard.
2- Publication and Archive:
Logic Research Journal is published bi-quarterly and online, and all articles are accessible from beginning to end on the journal's dedicated system. The journal's archive is also accessible on the ISC website.
3- Essential structure of submitted articles
**Esteemed author(s) should submit the following information along with the article:
• Name and surname of the author(s) in Persian and English;
• Level of education, academic rank, department, name of the faculty, university and city of the author/authors' university in Persian and English;
• Introduction of the corresponding author in case of multiple authors;
• Enter the e-mail address of the author/authors;
• Address, postal code, fax number of the corresponding author;
• Persian and English abstract of about 200 words
• References to the article
Esteemed authors should submit their relevant articles only through the journal's system. The journal will not process articles sent via email or other methods.
Initial acceptance of the article is subject to compliance with the points of the "Article Editing Guide" and final acceptance and publication is subject to the approval of the Review Board. In any case, the result will be announced to the author.
The article should be at least 15 and at most 25 pages long and should not exceed 8000 words in total. In addition, the article should be typed in Lotus 13 font in Word 2007 and sent together with a pdf file.
It is mandatory for all articles to have a title, abstract (maximum 150 words) and keywords (maximum 7 words) in both Persian and English.
Articles should include an introduction, main topics, conclusion and a list of references.
Foreign equivalents of proper nouns, terms and vocabulary in the text should be placed in parentheses.
4- Citation style
Article references should be in-text and in the following manner:
For references to sources, immediately after direct quotation (in quotation marks), the surname of the author of the book or article, the year of publication, the volume number and the page of the source in question should be included in parentheses. Example: (Haghiqi, 1366: Vol. 1/210)
For references to sources, immediately after indirect quotation, the surname of the author of the book or article, the year of publication and the volume number should be included in parentheses. Example: (Haghiqi, 1366: Vol. 1/21-25)
Non-Persian in-text references should be included in the previous manner and in the original language. Example: (115 Nelson, 2003:)
If more than one work by an author has been published in a year, the works should be distinguished by placing the letters الف, ب, پ, and ... in Persian and the letters a, b, and ... in foreign languages, after the year of publication.
If a dictionary or encyclopedia owned by a senior editor is used, his name, year of publication, and page number should be given in parentheses. If a specific article is referred to, the name of the author of the article, year of publication, and page of the source in question should be given in parentheses. Other than the above cases, the name of the dictionary or encyclopedia, year of publication, and page of the source in question should be given in parentheses.
Duplicate references should be given in full and as if they were the first time, and the use of the words "same", "previous" and "like that" in the text or drawing a line instead of the author's name in references should be avoided.
References: At the end of the article, first Persian sources and then Latin sources should be listed, based on the author's last name, in alphabetical order as follows:
Book: Author's last name/authors, author's name/authors (date of publication). Book title in italics (Iranian), translator's or editor's name, volume number, edition, place of publication: publisher's name.
Article: Author's last name, author's name (date of publication). "Article title", translator's name, journal name in italics (Iranian), year of publication, journal issue, number of pages related to the article.
Internet sources: Author's last name, author's name (date of access). "Article title", website name (or e-journal title, volume, issue, year), page, internet address.
5- Reviewing method:
The “double blind peer review” method is used to review articles submitted to the bi-monthly journal Logic Research. In this method, the review of the article is entrusted to two reviewers who are familiar with the subject of the article and are experts in it, but the author’s name is not known to the reviewers and the author’s name is not known.
After initial acceptance by the editorial board, the articles received will be sent for evaluation to at least 2 reviewers who are experts in the relevant field, at the discretion of the editorial board and without the author’s name. Final acceptance is based on the final opinions of the reviewers and is subject to the approval of the editorial board.
6- Free and open access to articles
The bi-monthly journal “Logic Research” is a journal with open and free access to published articles. In open access journals, access to the full text file of the articles is provided and free of charge.
The Budapest Open Access Initiative statement is also accepted by Logical Studies and follows it.
